Július Strapek

Founder and main partner of the Across Group

Július Strapek is a founder and main partner of the Across Group. He graduated at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Business Management. He has been active in the investment world since 1995. He started his career by managing several successful investment and mutual funds, such as the Tatra Coupon Fund. From 1998 to 2001 he held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Tatra Asset Management. As a consultant, he participated in the project of drafting the legislation and strategic plans on the Slovak financial market; he was a member of the EU Commission team for the Collective Investment Act. In 2002 he acted as an advisor to the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic on pension reform and in 2003 he was in the role of a local World Bank expert on pension reform. In 2002 he established the Across Group and by today he is member of its top management team.

Peter Jakubička

Chief Executive Officer

Peter has been with Across Private Investments team since 2021, currently acting in the role of Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. He graduated at the Utrecht University in Law and Economics and at the University of Amsterdam in Business Law. He acted as Chief Operating Officer within the IPM Group, where he was responsible for coordinating teams and business lines, developing projects as well as ensuring an attractive portfolio of investment opportunities and stable growth of assets under management. He has more than 15 years of experience in the global financial industry, including banking, brokerage, law, insurance, institutional income management, investment fund management, investment management and advisory services. He has worked in financial centers in Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. He began his professional career at DLA Piper, a global law firm working on major energy and infrastructure projects. Among his previous employers count Bolder Group and Aegon as well.

Andrej Rajčány

Chief Investment Officer

Andrej has been part of the Across Private Investments team since 2017, and currently holds the position of Chief Investment Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board. He is responsible for portfolio management, financial markets trading and product management. He graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava, where he studied foreign trade at the Faculty of Commerce. He successfully completed training programs focused on financial derivatives trading in Vienna, London and New York. Before joining Across, he managed a Luxembourg private equity fund, securities trading on the global stock, coordinated energy derivatives and commodities trade and acted as a risk manager. He became a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Securities Dealers in June 2021.

Juraj Kováč

Head of the Advisory Board

He has been professionally involved in capital markets for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Economics in Bratislava, with the subject of study of the International Trade. During his studies, he worked in business positions for securities traders Proinvest, o.c.p., a.s., and Bonus Invest o.c.p., a.s. Since graduation in 2003, he has been working in the Across group. He worked in several positions; he currently manages and maintains relations with the most important private clients of the company.

The referendum in the United Kingdom launched the BREXIT process. Donald Trump became President of the United States, which surprised the financial markets.
